I read about Kinetic shares being taken up by Mahindra and Mahindra on UTVi This is more or less the third take over in this year. What do you think about these take overs?? Will it have any effect on the sales of Kinetic's scooters ?

I don't think it has any impact on selling.

i seriously feel it will have little impact, if the mahindra's can pump in some moe money in R&D, and buying new technology. i stay in indore where the main plant of Kinetic is located (pithampur).
currently mahindra has bought 80% of the stake in this Sulajja Firodia Motwani lead group for 110 Cr. Kinetic has technology partner called 'SYM' form china or hong kong, iam not sure.
Kinetic had a clear market before the arrival of Honda Activa (the most successful model of Honda Scooters india Ltd). but the Kinetics only mistake ever was they never really bothered to upgrade their successful models. and when they eventually did, it was very late.
This deal is a win-win situation for both the companies
