Default Does anyone want a companion horse for loan - north england?

I have a 9 year old throughbred that I am trying to place in a companion only home, or with a very experienced rider. He's been badly treated previoulsy and has a few ridden issues, but is very sweet to handle. I fell when riding him and now have 2 broken ankles so I can't look after him physically or financially. He's an amazing horse but needs a home where he can live with other horses turned out most of the time and where he will get some attention as he is very responsive to kind handling. I live in North England. If anyone knows of anyone looking for a companion, please either answer or email me.

Thank you

How big is he? And what are his specific problems under saddle (and has he been checked out by vet, physio, dentist etc)?
I'm in Manchester, and know of a few people who would be willing to help this horse.

If he is a retired race horse, perhaps you could contact the Thoroughbred Rehabilitation unit in Lancashire. Their email is: tbrehabcentre@aol.com

You can check them out on this link: http://www.thoroughbredrehabilitationcentre.co.uk/
(You would probably be able to visit too!)

They have a great reputation and lots of experts on hand who could help this horse find the right home.

Good luck, and I hope you make a full recovery soon!
