How to save on hi risk car insurance due to bad driving record? (49 yo male
in question)? My husband is 49 and I am 43. He has several tickets and accident claims including replaced windshields. He is the holder of the policy and I am listed as a driver. He also has a poor credit rating. I have no tickets or accidents and have an excellent credit rating. Our rates for our old cars for basic insurance is out of this world. Am I screwed because of my husbands lousy record? Would it be better to have the policy in my name? How can I save on insurance or am I just doomed? We have our homeowners policy (no claims) with the same carrier and our rates are still high. Are we being ripped off?
