Default Flat tax and abolishing the IRS. ???

How would you feel about shutting down the IRS and a flat tax system? Party affiliation?
All below a new fairly set poverty level would pay 0% Federal tax.

No a fair tax. Tax on purchases.

i think it's a great idea to abolish the IRS. I think we should also restructure the taxes. I'd personally like to be able to opt out of certain services. I 'd prefer not to pay for schools since I do not have any kids utilizing such services. I'd prefer not to pay for libraries/park districts. These seem like optional services that don't make sense for everyone.

I'm an independent and I say a flat tax is unfair and a really bad idea. Why do people think that 10% from a person who makes $30,000 a year is less than 10% from a person who makes $300,000 a year? It's not. It works against the middle class and favors the rich. That's why the rich always advocate this. A progressive tax system is the best and the rich already only pay 15% because they make their wealth from investments not income which is taxed around 35%.

A more viable agency must replace IRS to fight illegal immigration and an equitable taxation must be imposed by the government to quell problems besetting the country.

A flat tax works against the poor and middle class and benefits the rich. I oppose it. - Democrat.

I support the FAIR TAX!

HR 25 the Fair Tax bill would eliminate ALL federal Taxes and withholding and replace it with a national sales tax on new items and services as well as repeal the 16th Amendment.

I think a sales tax would be vastly superior to an income tax.

One pays tax according to his/her earnings. Taxes are important for the welfare of the state,no matter how much we want them to be abolished but the end benefits are enjoyed by us.
